On Tuesday, May 4th gr. 3-5 (9:15 am) and gr. 6-8 (10:45 am) students will participate in YouthSpeak virtual presentations. Presenters will share personal stories to promote mental health, well-being, empathy and hope, and share coping strategies students can use, in times of stress and anxiety.
Every year, the first week of May is Children’s Mental Health Week. It is a week where we draw attention to the mental health issues that children and youth face, raise awareness of these issues, decrease stigma and provide an understanding of the help that is available. All students, parents and staff are invited to join in the province-wide Catholic Education Week Mass scheduled for Wednesday, May 5 2021 at 11:00 am celebrated by His Eminence Cardinal Collins.
Each year, the Catholic community of Ontario engages in a week-long celebration of the unique identity and distinctive contribution of Catholic education during Catholic Education Week. This year’s celebration entitled “Nurturing Hope” is scheduled for the week of May 3rd to May 7th. We invite all families to participate in the daily activities, take photos and share the photos with your children’s teachers.
